Firefighters responded to nearly 100 operational incidents on Monday night as hundreds of bonfires were set alight

John Steele was helping to construct a bonfire in a loyalist estate in Larne, Co Antrim, when the accident happened on Saturday night.

Police said an incident where petrol bombs were thrown near a Belfast bonfire was a hate crime.
