It follows a row over the city mayor’s decision to end the crib display at the Mansion House, where it has featured for more than 20 years.

The animals and Nativity scene will be housed in the Summer House in St Stephen’s Green Park from December 8th.

Dublin’s mayor has argued that a more interactive activity for children should be held instead of the traditional crib.
