Cork City Ballet presents Swan Lake, Cork Opera House, 8pm; Cork City Ballet’s production promises to be spectacular, from the opulent costumes to the alluring sets. Tickets €36.

Never Going Back There, Briery Gap, 8pm; The village of Kyletock in the west of Ireland is a very different place today than in 1970 when Danny Dalton upped sticks and decided to head to England in this new Irish play by Philip O’ Byrne, Hunters Moon Theatre Co. Tickets €22.

Cork One Act Drama Festival 2025, Cork Arts Theatre; Over four nights, the best of local and national drama groups performs one act plays, competing for a place in the All-Ireland One Act Finals Competition in December. Tickets €18.

Leah Sohotra, Maureen’s 3pm; Through poetic reflections, Leah captures both the pain and beauty of transformation; inviting audiences to journey through landscapes of personal and collective memory, intertwined with the natural world. She is accompanied by Martin Leahy. Tickets €22.

Thunder Rolls- Garth Brooks Experience, The Hibernian Hotel, Mallow, 8pm; This live band show includes all of Garth’s biggest hits. Tickets €25.

Brian Kennedy, Murray’s Bar, Macroom, 8pm; Brian Kennedy is one of Ireland’s most inspired and revered ambassadors of music. Tickets €27.79.

Sunday

Sunday Sessions, Cronin’s Crosshaven, 6pm; Every Sunday, Cronin’s Crosshaven showcases live music from local and international artists, both original work and covers. This week Stuart Wilde OMB takes to the stage.

70th Cork International Film Festival: Over 11 jam-packed days, audiences in Cork will ‘see it first’ – Irish and world premieres and gala screenings, plus special events to mark its 70th anniversary – at venues across Cork City and county.

Aye Laugh Comedy, Aye, 7pm; Looking for the perfect way to wrap up your weekend? Look no further than Aye Comedy Club, Cork City’s only Sunday night comedy show. With every ticket purchased receive a complimentary spritz drink. Tickets €10.
