Stomp Train is a collaboration in the blues between three continents that has come together in Cork Ireland. Alessio Calletti, originally from Italy, has played the blues as long as he can remember. He's lived a colorful life and is well suited to playing the blues. His guitar and vocals front the band. Jorge Kachmari, originally from United States, plays clarinet and fiddle and backing vocals. He comes from a long blues and jazz tradition and has studied various types of music thru out his life. Jono Skinner, originally from Zimbabwe, anchors the band with his percussive beats. Together StompTrain will have you clapping and stomping along to a music that is both ethereal and gutteral, a music that brings people from all walks of life together.
Ruairí de Leastar has performed countless gigs in various forms of bands, duos or solo acts over the last 15 years. Having shared the stage with acts such as foy Vance, Duke special, Lisa Hannigan and Jerry Fish, he has been learning from the best and honing his own style. Ruairí has a vocal range that can swell over an audience and fill a room full of emotion and swoop with elasticity from the depths up to soaring heights.
Donnelly - 30th Anniversary Retrospective, featuring ..and Nun Came Back, Big Boy Foolish, Twin Siblings & more
..and NUN came back are a band formed by Ricky Dineen and Liam Heffernan to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the passing of the late great Finbarr Donnelly. Finbarr, along with Ricky, fronted 80’s Cork bands Nun Attax, Five go Down to the Sea? and Beethoven. ..and NUN came back have taken some of the songs from that era and have given them a new set of clothes and a haircut. The band members are Vince Murray (The Vital Spark, Zombie Computer) – Vocals, Ian Walsh (Bass Odyssey, Sylvia Saint)-Drums, Liam Heffernan (Mean Features, Ros na Rún)-Guitar, Humphrey Murphy (Jodavino, Arm the Elderly) Bass – and Ricky Dineen-Guitar
Leif comprise of Eoin O’ Brien and Conor O’ Sullivan, two of Cork's finest musicians. They will take you on an eclectic journey through some of Irelands finest tunes and ballads. A candlelit, stove side trad session that really has to be seen to be believed. Locals and staff have even been known to get involved and give a blast.
