Cork football: Clubber to show six quarter-final knockout ties

Clubber will bring six of the best to the screen as the McCarthy Insurance Group Cork Football Championships move to the knockout stage this weekend.
All three Premier SFC quarter-finals will be streamed live by the broadcaster, along with both of the games at senior A level and of the premier intermediate championship match.
On Saturday, the all-Gaeltacht senior A tie between Cill na Martra and Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh takes place in Baile Bhúirne at 4pm and those unable to make it to Páirc Abán will be able to watch on Clubber.
An hour later, there is another derby clash in the Premier SFC quarter-finals: Dunmanway is the venue for a Clonakilty-Newcestown tussle at 5pm and that too can be viewed on the platform.
The other two knockout games in the top tier take place on Sunday afternoon, with Clonakilty playing host to an attractive double-header, which is likely to draw a large crowd in person as well as a sizeable viewing audience.
At 1.45pm, St Finbarr’s – the holders of the Andy Scannell Cup but beaten twice in the group stage – will take on the Carbery divisional team and then at 4pm there is a repeat of the finals of 2023 and 2024 as Castlehaven take on Nemo Rangers.
The other tie that will be broadcast is also on Sunday – Naomh Abán meet Macroom in a Premier IFC clash in Cill na Martra with a 3.30pm throw-in.
Meanwhile, the Co-op SuperStores Cork Hurling Championship semi-final fixtures for the weekend of October 2-4 have been set.
SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh will hosts its first club games of the year with a pair of double-headers.
On the Saturday evening, the two senior A last-four ties are down for decisions, with Blarney taking on Carrigtwhohill at 5.15pm and Erin’s Own clashing with Watergrasshill at 7pm; then, on Sunday, Kanturk play St Finbarr’s at 2pm, followed by the meeting of Glen Rovers and Midleton at 3.45pm.
Both of the premier intermediate semi-finals take place on the Saturday at 4pm: Ovens is the venue for the meeting of Ballincollig and Carrigaline while Dungourney take on Valley Rovers in Ballyanly.
The weekend commences with an east Cork derby IAHC semi-final between Aghada and Sarsfields in Carrigtwohill while the other game in that grade is between Bandon and Midleton in Church Road on the Saturday.
At premier junior level, St Catherine’s will try to reach a third final in four years when they meet Barryroe in Ballymah on Saturday week while on the Sunday, Argideen Rangers take on Kilshannig in Coachford.
