MOONEY CUP WINNERS ISF Ballyphehane Celtic require a solitary point from their remaining four fixtures to be crowned Grandon’s Toyota First Division winners following their comfortable win over OBS at Camden last Saturday afternoon.

The league leaders, the only unbeaten team in the three divisions, got right down to business taking an 8th minute lead through Ryan Constant. Former LAB favourite Stephen Folasade struck a glorious second from fully thirty yards in the 22nd minute before Steven Ring headed a third six minutes later. 

With the tie over as a contest, Constant poached his second of the afternoon early in the second 45 leaving Ryan Towler to complete the scoring direct from a corner in the final minute. Niall O’Brien and Ross Daly worked hard throughout for the hosts.

With Ballyphehane Celtic expected to win at Camden, Abbey knew nothing less than a win would hand the title to their opponents. 

Leading one-nil at half-time to a David O’Regan 8th minute opener, the hosts plunged Dripsey further into relegation trouble by scoring seven unanswered second half goals courtesy of John McLoughlin (3),Philip Horan (2), Jason Cullinane and Shane Murphy.

Trust remain third from bottom after losing out to third in the table Here’s Health at Gortnaglough Community Park. 

Levent Arslan’s second minute lead for the visitors was cancelled out by Daniel Jaoihari in the 17th minute. 

Jack Murphy fired Here’s Health in front for a second time in the 53rd minute before a Callan Dempsey double made the points safe in the final twenty minutes.

DoMA Giants 5

 DoMA made it two wins in a week over the Vale after another high scoring encounter, this time at Mayfield Park. 

An Adriano 41st minute penalty for DoMA was quickly cancelled out by Billy Tabb before half time. 

After Marcos Aurelio put the visitors ahead for a second time in the 62nd minute and Aaron O’Sullivan equalized eight minutes later, an intercepted pass in the middle allowed sub Ilija Zagorac to run through three minutes later and put the Giants ahead for a third time. 

With the hosts pushing for an equalizer, breakaway goals by Zagorac and Rafael Machado Felippe in the final five minutes determined the destination of the points.

After a Timothy Twomey brace for Arc , inside the opening sixteen , was cancelled out by Rob Hughes, Brian Senyonyi and a Jamie O’Neill penalty, all before half time, Senyonyi and Hughes added further goals for Gavin Woods’ charges despite Paudie Cotter grabbing a third for Rovers.

At Ringmahon Park last Sunday afternoon Conor Foley’s and Tomas Sheehán’s goals for MHS were cancelled by top scorer Jamie Murphy before the break. 

Murphy completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute only for a Sheehan penalty to tie up the contest for a third tie. 

Goals from Aaron Hennessy (2), Matthew Stevens and Shaun Teegan in the final twenty minutes eased the Cow to a comfortable victory.

Valley regained top spot after goals from Ben O’Connor (2), Colin Ivory, John Noonan, Conor Hickey, Cian Doyle and sub Hamza Sadiq sealed a 14th league win.

 Carrialine and Pfizer FC shared the points at last Sunday afternoon at Camden, with Michael Daly on target for Celtic in the 54th minute and captain Syl Byrne replying for Pfizer twenty minutes later.

ASH were comprehensive winners over the Tigers at Mayfield Park with Emmanuel O’Neill (2), Dylan Long and Shaun Dunlea all among the goals in the first 45 followed by four from Aaron Keohane in the second. 

Tigers’ captain Arthur McDonagh scored a consolation midway through the second half.

AI FC 3 

ePower East Cork 5

In-form East Cork are up to joint second with DCT after being two up through Daragh Bagnell Hartnett and Kaelem Hennessy and brought back level by Alvin Johnson (2) at Rockenham. 

Hartnett’s second on the stroke of half time was added to in the second by Dylan Hayes Maher and Ryan Sexton, Dylan Nchankea having earlier levelled for AI FC at three-three.
