Passage advance to the semi final of the Seandun JAHC with victory over Glen Rovers

Passage have booked their place in the semi-finals of the AOS Security Seandún Junior A Hurling Championship, as they defeated Glen Rovers, before a good-sized attendance at Ballinlough.
Glen Rovers have been eliminated.
Passage were on top for most of the opening half, but Glen Rovers got the game’s only goal to level matters from a penalty midway through the second half.
Passage outscored Glen Rovers by seven points to two in the final quarter.
Passage’s Niall McCarthy traded points with Glen Rovers’ Gavin O’Callaghan, before Passage took a grip on proceedings.
Niall McCarthy and Conor Coughlan got two points each. Darragh McCarthy also chipped in with a point from play and Tomás Harrington converted the game’s first free, to leave Passage leading 0-7 to 0-1.
Jack Kennefick responded with two points for Glen Rovers, to reduce the deficit to four points.

Glen Rovers’ Nathan Goulding exchanged points with Niall McCarthy and Conor Coughlan.
Ryan Long and Adam Lordan replied with points for Glen Rovers. Passage responded with a point from play by Keelan O’Flynn.
This left the half-time scoreline reading 0-10 to 0-7 in favour of Passage.
Niall McCarthy got two points, including a free for Passage. Conor Coughlan and Callum Griffin also got a point each in the third quarter.
Glen Rovers replied with two points by Lordan and one by Craig Turnbull. Jamie Corkery also converted a free. This left Glen Rovers trailing by three points.
Glen Rovers were awarded a penalty, from which Jamie Corkery drilled home the game’s only goal to tie the scores at 1-11 to 0-14.
Passage restored their lead with a point by Callum Griffin and frees by Niall McCarthy and Liam Harrington.
Robert Buckley replied for Glen Rovers.
Passage outscored Glen Rovers by 0-4 to 0-1 in the closing stages.
