Aghada's young footballers inspired by visit from Cork's All-Ireland minor winners

The victorious Cork minor football team brought excitement to Aghada GAA Club’s Cúl Camp recently.

Players and management arrived with both the Munster and All-Ireland trophies, giving young players a close-up look at the silverware that has captured the county’s imagination. 

Their visit, which featured six members of the All-Ireland panel, offered a memorable morning of interaction, inspiration, and celebration for the club’s youngest footballers.

Captain Joe Miskella led the group, joined by teammates Kieran Archer, Darragh O’Sullivan, Donnacha Coleman, Micheál Walsh, and Pól O’Connor.

The players spent time moving station to station. The youngsters were eager to learn how these rising stars developed their skills, with several asking about favourite positions, toughest opponents, and standout moments from the campaign.

The Munster and All-Ireland cups were passed around for team photos, with each camp group getting the chance to pose alongside the players. 

Coaches noted how the visit energised the children, many of whom arrived early to secure a good spot and left with signed jerseys, footballs, and a renewed determination to practise at home.

The management team was represented by Clive Cremin, Diarmuid Hayes, and Aghada’s own John O’Connor, whose involvement added a special local connection to the event. 

They spoke about the importance of nurturing underage football and highlighted how community clubs like Aghada play a central role in developing future Cork stars.
