The Cork Women and Schoolgirls Soccer Leagues (CWSSL) with Coerver Coaching Munster is delighted to announce its Girls Summer Soccer Camps for 2026, with an innovative programme designed to increase participation, develop confidence, and keep more girls involved in the game.

The camps, aimed at girls aged 6 to 12 years, will take place at Casement Park, the home of girls' soccer in Cork.

They are specifically designed for girls, with the goal to provide a fun, safe and positive environment where players can learn new skills, make friends and build a lifelong love of the game.

The camps will be run with Coerver Coaching Munster, one of the world's leading soccer coaching programmes, and participants will benefit from high-quality coaching focused on ball mastery, technique and individual development, all delivered in a fun and encouraging girls' game across Cork.

The camps will run from July 13th to 17th and August 10th to 14th and bookings can be made online at coerver.ie/summercamps.

"Our objective is simple – we want to see more girls playing soccer and enjoying the game," CWSSL Chairperson Brian Murphy.

"These camps are about much more than football skills. They are about confidence, friendships, belonging and creating positive memories in a supportive environment."

Cork City club legend Denis Behan is overseeing the whole operation from a Coerver Coaching Munster point of view, which is the next stage of their growing relationship with the CWSSL.

“As part of our five year agreement with the league we will deliver camps and a small set of games like 3v3 as well,” he explained.

“The monies will go towards Casement Park as well, so all of the process is about building out the Soccer Centre in Casement, so it's great to have the camps in Casement as a starting point.

“So, hopefully, we can look at look at it in five years’ time and say we had camps here at the start and say look at the facilities now.”

Everyone wants the starting point to be this set of summer camps, that are filled with activities for girls of all abilities.

“We’ll have all of our Coerver coaches and some coaches from the CWSSL and also it'll fall with our partnership as we will look to de develop the coaches within the league as well through the camps.

"“It'll be a great opportunity for the girls to be able to come together and train and test themselves against girls from throughout the county that they might not have an opportunity to do.”

This will be done with A list coaches that include Cork City FC Women's manager Derek Coughlan, Cork City’s Brian McSweeney, former Cobh Ramblers assistant manager Zoran Teodorovic, Coerver Coaching’s own Tim Mawe, Luke Noonan and Danny Bennett, and a number of CWSSL coaches such as Muireann McHale and Eorann McGrath, who have worked with Coerver at their 3x3 events.

For girls that cannot make the CWSSL camps, there’s also girls only camps this summer within the Coerver Coaching system.

“We’d love to see all the girls come together out in Casement, we want to get more girls playing.

"We want to get more girls enjoying it, the camps are a great opportunity for that to happen, and we have Coerver camps throughout Cork that they can access through our website.”
