Cork footballers make one enforced change for Munster semi-final against Tipperary

Cork have made one enforced change for their Munster SFC semi-final against Tipperary on Saturday at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles (2pm).

The Rebels defeated Limerick by nine points in the quarter-final nearly two weeks ago at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, running out 4-16 to 1-16 winners.

Dara Sheedy made his championship debut in that game and marked it with a splendid goal. Unfortunately for Cork, the Bantry Blues forward picked up a hamstring injury four days later while lining out for the Cork U20s in their win over Kerry.

He is ruled out for this weekend’s clash against Tipperary, with Conor Cahalane coming into the team. Cahalane made a strong impression when introduced against Limerick, kicking 0-3.

On the bench, Seán Brady returns following injury, while Cathail O’Mahony is also back among the subs.

Cork are aiming to book their place in the provincial final for the first time since 2021.
