Cork professional boxer Christina Desmond will be back in action for her fourth fight next Saturday on the JB Promotions NO TURNING BACK event at the National Stadium.
The southpaw, who is based in Dungarvan, will lock horns with Polish fighter Boyana Libiszewska in a six round welterweight contest over six two minute rounds.
Desmond has already beaten Joanna Fraszczak from Poland with a first round stoppage in her very first professional fight at the National Arena in Dublin.
She then went on to beat Naila Abigail Peloso from Argentina by unanimous decision at the Devenish Complex Belfast.
She then made her homecoming in Cork to head lined Martin Horgan’s event last February at the GCU Parochial Arena, and sent her large group of supporters home happy with another clinal display against a tough Johana Rajmount from Czecia and won again by unanimous decision.

Christina plans to be very busy for the rest of the year, as she wants to work her way up the rankings so she can have a chance of a title fight at the end of the year.
“I am looking forward to getting back in the ring again so soon after my fought a few weeks ago in the GCU Parochial Arena,” Christina said.
“This is how I want it to be; I want it to be busy and I am very happy that my trainer and manager are making this happen for me.
“I prefer to keep training. I don’t know much about my opponent Bojana Libiszewska from Poland.
"She is a very experienced boxer that has over 80 fights to her name and although she has lost 90% of them I'm still expecting a really tough fight.
“I just want to get out as much as possible and I looking forward to a busy and exciting year.
“I’d like to say a thank you to my trainers, manager Kevin Crowley, of course my family, colleagues and friends.
"I'd also like to thank my sponsors - Realta Technologies, C & H Coaches Limited, Shane Sullivan Fitness, MCP Group, PFS Coaching, Dungarvan, Merry's Bistro, Dungarvan , Shamrock Restaurant, Dungarvan, RFS Macroom, Platinum Hair, Ballincollig and also, finally, thanks to Kieran Doherty, Doug Minihane and the Echo for the excellent coverage,” Desmond added.
Another Cork boxer Aaron O’Donoghue who also fought on the same card at the Parochial Hall will also be in action again, however, this time he has to travel to Spain for his fifth fight on the Club de Boxeo card in Alicante Spain on April 18th.
The Cork Welterweight put in a dazzling display last February when stopped Polish fighter Sebastian Krakowski in the second round that was certainly the best performance on the night.
“ My training camp has gone very well and I am just under two weeks out now so am really looking forward to put on another solid show,” Aaron said.
“This fight came up as I was looking for a fight to keep active after not being very busy last year with injury, so when I got the call I jumped at the chance to fight in Spain.
“ I don’t know my opponent yet, however, I am ready to fight anyone at this stage of my career and try move up the rankings so I can get bigger fights in the future,” O’Donoghue added.
