Ballincollig Credit Union are the new main sponsors of Ballincollig GAA.

Ballincollig GAA has entered a new chapter with the announcement of a sponsorship agreement with Ballincollig Credit Union, a partnership that brings together two of the community’s most recognisable and deeply-rooted institutions.

The deal is being hailed within the club as a significant boost to its ambitions both on and off the field, while the Credit Union has emphasised its pride in supporting an organisation that plays such a central role in local life.

The sponsorship sees Ballincollig Credit Union become the main sponsor. This is part of a multi-tier sponsorship with a further announcement to be made in the coming weeks.

For a club of Ballincollig’s size, the agreement represents not just financial backing but a long-term commitment to sustaining participation, development, and community engagement.

Ballincollig Credit Union Board Member Gary O’Brien said: “Ballincollig Credit Union and Ballincollig GAA share the same foundations — community, volunteerism, and a commitment to supporting local people.

"We are delighted to formalise this partnership and to support a club that plays such a central role in bringing our community together. Investing locally is at the core of what we do, and we look forward to seeing this partnership thrive in the years ahead.”

Donal Hannigan, outgoing chairman of Ballincollig GAA, was delighted when he spoke at the unveiling: “This is a hugely positive step for our club and our community.

"Ballincollig Credit Union’s long-term commitment as main sponsor will support players and families across all ages, and we’re excited about what we can build together over the next ten years."
