Glen Rovers are the Pharmacare U21 A City Division champions after their win over Blackrock at the Páirc Ui Chaoimh 4G pitch on Sunday night.
From start to finish they were by far the better side with some outstanding performances all over the pitch. Eoin O’Leary led the attack and was deservedly named Player of the Game afterwards, with Jake Brosnan another to catch the eye.

They will now go on to represent Seandún in the county quarter-final at the end of the month against the Carrigdhou winners, with Shandrum in the semi-final.
Michael T Brosnan opened the scoring for the Glen with Ryan Sweeney replying for Blackrock. Rian O’Riordan put the Rockies in front with Eoin O’Leary levelling it after four minutes.
Eoin Coughlan put the Rockies back in front before the Glen got their first goal. A long free in from Ben Heffernan was batted down and Gavin O’Callaghan was first to react to find the back of the net.
Heffernan added a point from a free, with O’Leary and Diarmuid Wall adding to the Glen’s tally.

Shane O’Shaughnessy replied for the Rockies before the Glen got their second goal.
Jake Brosnan beat several defenders to raise another green flag, to make it 2-7 to 0-4. O’Leary added a point before Fionn O’Keeffe was just wide with a goal effort for the Rockies.
Sweeney and Coughlan pointed for the Rockies but before half-time O’Leary got the Glen’s third goal, as they led by 3-10 to 0-7 at the break.
They soon added their fourth goal, just two minutes in to the second half to kill off any chance of a Rockies comeback, this time Wall finding on target, to make it 4-11 to 0-7.
O’Leary and Conor McCarthy added points, before four in a row from Wall extended their lead further.
Coughlan pulled a point back for the Rockies and Sweeney goaled to make it 4-17 to 1-8.
Coughlan added three more points for the Rockies, but really they were no more than consolation scores a this stage as the game was well and truly over as a contest.
Stephen Lynam got the last score of the game for the Glen as they ran out comprehensive winners on the night.
