Erin's Own secured their spot in the final four of the Michael O'Connor Motor Factors JAFC, where they will face Youghal for a spot in the decider.

A flurry of late scores by Ciaran McCarthy, Tom O'Riordan and Cathal O'Mahony in the final 10 minutes turned a 0-5 to 0-4 deficit into a two-point advantage with two left to play.

It was a match that produced three black cards, two for Aghada's Conor Geary and Dan Leahy along with Erin's Own's Matt O'Riordan.

Scores were at a premium for both sides. However, Aghada made the most of the slight elements in their favour early on through Andrew Murphy, James Motherway and Leahy to put them 0-3 to 0-0 in front after seven minutes.

They wouldn't raise another flag of any colour until the 28th minute. In between, scores by Erin's Own Billy Lynch, Cian O'Callaghan and Tom O'Riordan made it 0-3 apiece.

Leahy's much-needed score two minutes from the interval moved his side back in front as Aghada went into the break 0-4 to 0-3 to the good.

The early stages of the second half saw James Hurley split the posts with O'Riordan's reply reducing the margin down to one.

O'Riordan was then on the receiving end of a long ball by Eoghan Murphy and through on goal was fouled by Geary. It didn't get better for Aghada when O'Callaghan burst his way through and was then pulled down by Leahy. Another black card and Aghda were down to 13 players.

Then it was Erin's Own turn to get a black card when O'Riordan was penalised for pulling down the Aghda player.

The final 15 minutes were frantic with the sides drawing level for the second and final time when McCarthy pointed.

Two more white flags followed and Erin's Own looked home and hosed. A late score from Hurley wasn't enough for Aghada.
