Doolan’s Cow who defeated DHF Grangevale 2-0 in the top of the table Grandon’s Toyota Premier Division encounter at Mayfield Park last Sunday morning.

Leaders Doolan’s Cow emerged victorious following their Grandon’s Toyota Premier Division game of the week top of the table win over DHF Grangevale at Mayfield Park last Sunday morning.

Doolan’s’ Aaron Hennessy got to the end line after seven minutes before his cross picked out the unmarked Jamie Murphy who duly rifled the opener past Jamie O’Sullivan. 

Murphy weaved his magic again on twenty-five minutes to skip two challenges to get enough contact to beat the unlucky O’Sullivan at his near post. 

The Vale had calls for a penalty denied and despite dominating possession in the second 45, Cow keeper James Murphy was never fully extended.

MHS won for the first time in their first seven outings to put a dent in Arc’s title aspirations. 

After Harvey’s Kenneth St Ledger and Timothy Twomey exchanged first-half goals, Kyle Harrington put Rovers in front for the first time in the 54th minute only for Ilija Zagorac to net a late double penalty.

Jay Bazz won for the first time in seven outings and in the process reversed the earlier defeat to Longboats. 

Michael Coffey set up Kyle McNamara in the 43rd minute before Colin Ross scored the decisive second just after the hour mark.

Juan De Villa turned in a five star performance by scoring five of his side’s six goals at MTU. 

De Villa netted three in the first 45 and added a further two before Gabriel Peña Da Silva completed the scoring with ten minutes remaining.

Joshua Reddy opened the scoring for the hosts in the 41st minute only for the visitors to turn the game in their favour with two goals inside a minute from Jamie Thompson and Niall Kennedy. 

Captain Aaron West was again the provider for Celtic’s third when he crossed for Matias Ayala to net in the 58th minute.

SABOR remain neck and neck with Ballyphehane Celticat the top after goals from Adriano (2), Thiago, Rafael Felippe Machado and Flavio Cassiano were enough to outscore the three Roy Hartigan, Jamie Torpey and Kiaran Murphy for the visitors.

After Ken O’Brien (2) and Jack Murphy put the visitors three up, Sean Holmes tagged on a fourth in the 65th minute. 

Michael McElligott reduced the deficit a minute later only for Levent Arslan and Murphy to confirm the destination of the points.

Valley Rangers put a stop to OBS’s seven match winning start by claiming all three points courtesy of Kevin Kelleher who was put through by Jack Murphy in the first minute.

With OBS losing, Marlboro took full advantage to close the gap after early goals from Daniel O’Keeffe (2) were cancelled out by Ukraine’s Adilet Kanymet, Ivan Dubasov and Oleksandr Topolnytskyi before Daniel Jaouhari replied with a second-half hat-trick.

FOOT-NOTE: The league wishes referee Denis Morley a speedy recovery following a recent spell in hospital.

MIDWEEK ROUND-UP: 

Cork Hospitals kept their title hopes alive with an impressive win over Longboats. 

After goals from Dara Flanagan and Richard Bambury opened up a two-nil first-half lead, Jamie O’Neill added a third in the 56th minute. 

The visitors responded with two goals from Ian Tobin and Davie Scott before O’Neill scored his second with eighteen minutes remaining. 

Arc Rovers inflicted a first defeat on DHF Grangevale. 

Tyrese Raheem burst through the centre to fire past Jamie O’Sullivan in the 22nd minute before David McGuire added for a second for the hosts. After Dave Barrett reduced the deficit the visitors dominated the second 45. 

On a rare attack down the left, Timothy Twomey was tripped in the area and duly converted the resultant penalty in the 75th minute to put two goals between the teams for a second time. 

Barrett scored his second from the penalty spot with three minutes remaining to complete the scoring.

In the first division Sabor Brazil Giants bounced back from going behind to a 7th minute opener from Co. Council’s Sief Abu Saad. 

Kaio De Jesus Ribeiro equalized late in the first-half before goals from Douglas Capelao, Rafael Felippe Machado and Rafael Barreiro sealed a crucial win for the title contenders.
