Busy day weekend in Castle Road for the juvenile board Sunday in Castle Road with four U14 league finals down for decision. On Saturday at 11am the U14 C final has Crosshaven meeting Dungourney.
Sunday is a busy day with three games on the fixture schedule, at 10.30am it’s the U14 B final where Castlelyons meet Bishopstown, at 1.30 in the U14 A final Fermoy take on Castlemartyr and at in the Premier 2 final at 4.30pm Carrigaline meet Aghabullogue.
Cork head to Waterford today for the last game in the group series I the confident knowledge they have their semi-final spot secured with four wins from four games. Cork are the team to beat clearly, with four of the five teams advancing to the semi-finals next week.
Galway and Kilkenny are also in action and a win for Galway would put them in second place where Cork to defeat Waterford. A win for Kilkenny would put them level with Galway and Tipperary but with them all going through to the semi-finals the results this weekend are merely to decide final group placing.
Even if Cork are to lose out to Waterford which would be a huge surprise they will in all probability finish as group leaders given their resounding victories in all games played to date and thus give them a home semi-final next Saturday.
