Peter Coughlan Memorial Golf Classic set to take place on Thursday, June 26

Details of Blue Demons annual Golf Classic were announced at the Gurranabraher Credit Union picture left: Timmy Singleton GCU, Michael O'Connell GCU, Shane Coughlan Blue Demons, Ursula O'Donovan GCU, James Barrett Blue Demons, Bertie Cotter GCU, Colum Cleary GCU, and Brian Neville Manager GCU.
This year’s Blue Demons Golf classic in memory of Peter Coughlan is being held at Monkstown on Thursday, June 26th and is again attracting a big entry and the Gurranabraher Credit Union have again come in as the main sponsor of the event.
The Credit Union have supported this outing over the past number of years with The Blue Demons club is synonymous with the Gurranabraher Credit Union Arena where the club have continued to use this great facility.
The local credit union are pleased to be able to support a club that is in the forefront in helping to develop, in so many ways, the children within their community.
The 2024 event with 62 teams participating, was very successful, and since its inception in 1995 it has continued on an upward trajectory.
Demons are confident that this year’s event will continue to meet the high standards we have set ourselves when staging this Classic.
It is the aim of the organising committee, headed by Shane Coughlan, to achieve the high standard associated with the golf outing at the prestigious Monkstown golf course.
Right Price Tiles and Wood Flooring have also kindly come to the aid of the organising committee by kindly sponsoring the prizes, which will be many and varied.
Speaking on behalf of the club Shane Coughlan thanked sponsors and his fellow committee members for their incredible work over many years.

“We have a number of sponsors who weigh on an annual basis and they are all crucial to the success of our day over the past 29 years,” Coughlan said.
Another company Seabrook Technology long associated with the annual outing are contributing financially to some of the costs of staging this event.
Sean O’Sullivan, Seabrook’s founder has been a member of the organising committee since its inception and is also a Blue Demons stalwart.
On the basketball court this year, our Senior Team defied all the odds by not alone reaching the final of the National Cup, but also defeated all of the best teams in Ireland on our way to winning outright the Men’s Superleague.
This League win has moved UCC Blue Demons as the leaders of national senior competitions victories with 9 Leagues and 8 National Cup titles.
The fee for participation in the 2025 Classic is set at €350 for a 3- man team and includes a four course meal and excellent prizes at the prestigious Monkstown Golf Club, with its splendid course, excellent clubhouse and 5 star cuisine.
If unable to participate on the day, Tee-box and Green sponsorship can also be had for €100.
