Cork manager Keith Ricken has made two changes to the starting 15 from the extra-time win over Tipperary last week for Friday’s Electric Ireland Munster MFC final against Kerry in Austin Stack Park (7.35pm), live on TG4.

There is a change in the half-back line with Lyre’s Eoin Looney coming in for Jerry O’Leary, who drops to the bench. The second and final change is in the forward department. Daniel McCarthy replaces the injured Paddy Murphy. The latter had already scored a point before pulling up after seven minutes against Tipperary.

McCarthy made a big impression when he was introduced after 50 minutes the last day. The Castlehaven player kicked 0-4 (0-2 f).

The Leesiders got the better of the Premier County on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-20 in that semi-final in FBD Semple Stadium with a goal from substitute Joe Miskella right at the end of extra-time sending Cork through.

So, they will come into the decider with a fair amount of confidence, but they do come up against a Kerry side who beat them just under three weeks ago at the quarter-final stage by 10 points at Páirc Uí Rinn. The teams were level at half-time, but three-in-a-row chasing Kerry won 2-18 to 2-8.
