Clon and St Nicholas met in the group stages and it was the west Cork side that came out on top and will be slight favourites to do the same on Monday.

But they won’t be taking the challenge of Nick’s lightly, especially as their players are going for the double.

Glen Rovers are through to the U16 Premier 1 hurling final and with most of the players involved in both sides they will be looking to complete the double.

They will look to the likes of Robert O’Callaghan, Josh Brosnan, Adam Mannix and Michael T Brosnan to see them come out on top.

For Clon Ben Coffey will be expected to anchor their defence, with Tom Whooley, Jack Byerley, Michael Francis Collins and Shay O’Donovan just some of the players they can call on.

In the Premier 1 decider Na Piarsaigh will be favourites to take the title. They won the U15 championship last year with this side and have shown this was no fluke by reaching the U16 decider.

Captain Jack Cahalane will lead by example, with Ruairi Quinlan and Corey O’Sullivan amongst others they will look to.

But in Luke Hurley they have an outstanding forward and he will take some stopping. Limiting his scoring threat will be crucial for Douglas if they are to have any chance of winning.

For the southside club they will need to up their performance from the semi-final to have any chance and will look to the likes of Darragh O’Connor, Ben Herlihy, James Gordon and Tadhg Curtin to see them come out on top.

It should be a close game as Douglas won the Féile last year so there shouldn’t be too much between the sides.
