Cork Camogie: St Finbarr's hit Sars for four goals to land league title as Ballyhea lift intermediate crown

SINCE the first week of April, adult and minor camogie league games have been going nonstop.
Weather played havoc with a lot of game with continuous rain seeing almost three full weeks of games wiped out, but all credit to the clubs, who dug in and got their programme of games completed.
A huge achievement considering a lot of players would be involved in more than one team in a club and it was a huge task to catch up, but it was achieved and over the last two weeks, league finals have been taking place.
St Finbarr’s took the senior league title as they overcame Sarsfields on a 4-15 to 1-12 scoreline.
They lead at the interval 2-12 to 0-5.
St Finbarr’s continued to hold the upper hand through out the second half.
Two Meg Twomey goals, and one each from Nicole Olden and Orlaith Cahalane, were added to by Aoife Byrne-O’Riordan with six points.
Orlaith Cahalane added five points from play with Nicole Olden with three more and Hannah O’Leary with one, were all on the score sheet as their side ran out winners.
Ballyhea were crowned Premier Intermediate camogie league winners as they overcame Ballinora 3-10 to 0-11 with Rachel Harty in scoring form slotting over eight pointed frees and adding a goal and a point to bring her tally to 1-10.

Ciara Harty grabbed the winner’s opening goal and with Jane Foley adding a second Ballyhea were on the road to victory.
In the Intermediate league final, Charleville had four points to spare over Newtownshandrum winning 1-8 to 0-7 to take the title.
Kate Liddy with a goal and four points and Fiona Nelligan with four points were on target for the winners.
Ballinascarthy and Midleton have qualified for the Premier junior final which was to be played earlier this week.
Youghal took the junior A title as they overcame Erin’s own 3-8 to 0-4, three first half goals two from Sam Swaine and one form Aoibhe Daly gave Youghal a half time lead of 3-4 to 0-2 and it was the foundations for victory as they held on for victory despite a strong Erin’s Own second half display.
St Fanahan’s took the Junior B title as they overcame Kilworth on a 1-11 to 1-5 score line.
Nemo Rangers proved far too strong as they defeated St Colm’s to win the Junior C league title
In the Junior B2 league final for clubs with second teams Sarsfields and Éire Óg played out an exciting game with two points separated the teams in an entertaining and exciting contest that went right down to the wire.
Two goals from Eilis Hegarty, one in each half helped get Sarsfields over the line with Maeve McCarthy, Ella Woods, Kathlyn Sheehan, Deirdre McCarthy and Aoife Mullins all on the score sheet as the title was secured.
In the Junior Lillie O’Sullivan league final for clubs with second or third teams, Sarsfields and Glen Rovers were down to meet late this this week to decide the destination of the title.
In the Junior Lillie Grant league final for clubs with second teams Courcey Rovers and Midleton were down to meet last night in the final.
In premier Minor camgoie Éire Óg got the upper hand on Sarsfields as they ran out winners on a after a close contest with five points to space on a 1-12 to 0-10 score line.
It will be an all-city Minor A league final when Douglas and Glen Rovers meet, this game is scheduled for June 27 after the state exams are completed.
The Minor B and C leagues are still at semi-final stage.
