Cork hurler Mark Coleman is set for another spell on the sidelines after he sustained a broken jaw.

The Rebels were in Dingle this weekend on a training camp and the Blarney star, who missed the entirety of the 2023 inter-county season with a knee injury, suffered another injury blow.

Having impressed in the Co-op SuperStores Cork Premier IHC last autumn, Coleman recently made his Cork return as a sub in the Allianz Hurling League defeat to Kilkenny and then started in the win over Waterford last Sunday.

Cork have two league games remaining, away to Offaly and Wexford on March 10 and March 16 respectively, and Coleman will definitely miss those while the prognosis with regard to the championship remains to be seen.
