THE Cork County Board today officially welcomed McCarthy Insurance Group as the title sponsor of the county football leagues and championships, in a new three-year sponsorship agreement. 

McCarthy Insurance Group, who have nine branches in Cork, joined new chairperson Pat Horgan at Páirc Uí Chaoimh to confirm this new football partnership.

The McCarthy Insurance Group county leagues will commence on the weekend of March 2.

Commenting at the launch, CEO of McCarthy Insurance Group Brendan Harrington said, “We at McCarthy Insurance Group are thrilled to support Cork football, at all levels, throughout the county. 

"McCarthy Insurance Group look forward to the next three years and showcasing our continued commitment to Cork communities as we celebrate our games throughout the leagues and championships.” 

County Chairperson, Pat Horgan, said, “We are absolutely delighted that McCarthy Insurance Group are joining us as the title sponsor of our football club leagues and championships. 

"It is fitting that two such strong Cork brands are coming together in this new partnership, especially this year as the support for Cork football is growing throughout the City and County. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this happen, and especially to Brendan and all at our new partners, McCarthy Insurance Group.”

Also speaking at the launch Kevin O’Donovan, CEO/Secretary of Cork GAA commented, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank McCarthy Insurance Group for supporting our football leagues and championships. 

"We expect to see a vibrant season of games as we commence the McCarthy Insurance Group football leagues in March, we wish all the teams the very best.” 

Clubs are now preparing for the start of the McCarthy Insurance Group football leagues, with the McCarthy Insurance Group football championships commencing in July.
