KANTURK went on a scoring spree in this Co Op Super Stores Senior AHC clash at Castlelyons to set up a quarter-final against Bandon.

While the exchanges were close early on, Aidan Walsh was in great form for Kanturk and they led 0-6 to 0-4 at the first water break. Daniel Landers pointed for Killeagh but the winners impressed in the half-forward line where James Fitzpatrick and Lorcan O'Neill did very well.

Killeagh lacked firepower with Ryan McCarthy their main scorer from frees. Midfielder Sean Long also did well for the Imokilly side as well.

A long free by Anthony Nash found Aidan Walsh who goaled to make it 1-7 to 0-6, while just before the break Anthony Nash made one of his splendid saves from Alan Keniry.

Kanturk were well on top on the changeover. Ian Walsh had two early points with Lorcan O'Neill placing Lorcán McLoughlin for a good point: 1-11 to 0-8.

Nash made a point-blank save from Eoghan Keniry with Ryan McCarthy pointing the resultant 65. Sean Long and James Fitzpatrick swapped points before Lorcán McLoughlin added a very good score.

Kanturk opened up an eight-point lead when Lorcan O'Neill netted after a three-man attack: 2-13 to 0-11.

Anthony Nash saved very well again, this time from Eoghan Keniry, though Daniel Landers was in for the rebound and by the water break,, Kanturk's lead was down to four points.
