The drugs will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Two men in their 20s have been charged after gardaí seized suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of €350,000 in Cork city.

The men were arrested following a search of a domestic residence in Togher on Monday night as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the area.

Members of the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by other local and regional units, carried out the operation.

The suspected cannabis was seized during the search, which was conducted under warrant.

The drugs will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

The two men were taken to garda stations in Cork city following their arrests.

They have since been charged and are due to appear before Cork District Court at 10.30am today, Wednesday, October 7.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
