Popular Cork brunch spot to close after just over a year in business

A southern-inspired restaurant in Cork city is to close after a little over a year in business.

SOUL, by head chef Dan Relihan, opened in July 2025 on Washington St and has become a popular brunch spot.

However, the team shared on social media this weekend that their last day of service will be next weekend, Sunday, October 4.

They said: “​We are so proud of everything we created at Soul and the incredible customers and friends who visited us.

“While this current chapter is coming to an end, we are deeply grateful for every customer, supplier, and everyone who supported us along the way.” 

The team added: “​This isn't goodbye for good—we are already working on something new to share with you soon. Stay tuned for what’s next!”
