Cork couples whose love story has a connection to film invited to take part in festival project 

Cork International Film Festival (CIFF) is inviting couples to share their own stories as part of a new project inspired by the romantic hit comedy When Harry Met Sally.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “Perhaps your first date was at the cinema. Maybe you met at CIFF … or perhaps a visit to the festival has become a tradition you return to as a couple year-after-year.

“However your story began, CIFF wants to hear from couples whose love story has a connection to film, cinema, or the festival.”

Selected couples will be filmed sharing their stories in October and these pre-recorded clips will be screened during a live rehearsed reading of When Harry Met Sally on Friday, November 13, at The Granary Theatre, at UCC.

Couples who are willing to share their story and comfortable appearing on camera are invited to register on the CIFF website at corkfilmfest.org.

This year’s festival — the 71st — takes place between November 12 and 22.
