Raft of traffic restrictions to come into effect across Cork city today
Cork City Council has alerted the public to a raft of traffic disruptions across the city with stop/go systems and road closures in effect to facilitate improvement works.

From today, Monday, three road closures are in place – at Beaufort Park in Turners Cross, on Magazine Rd and Blackrock Rd.
At Beaufort Park in Turners Cross, the road is closed from 7am until 7pm from its junction with St Anne's Park to its junction with the Curragh Rd. This is to facilitate drinking water and wastewater connection works.
On Magazine Rd, the closure is in effect from its junction with St Clare's Avenue to its junction with Highfield Avenue.

The closure will also operate from 7am until 7pm and will remain in place until Friday to facilitate large scale watermain upgrade works in the area.
Meanwhile on Blackrock Rd, the road will be closed to traffic from its junction with Beaumont Drive to its junction with Church Rd, from 8am today until 5pm on Friday to facilitate the upgrading of public footpaths at the location.
The local authority has also advised that stop/go systems will be in place at eight other locations across the city.
On Upper Glannmire Rd, Ballinvriskig, a two-way stop/go is in effect outside the Ros Ard Estate between 7am and 7pm until Friday.
This is to accommodate road crossing service installation works.
On Cooney’s Lane in Grange, a three-way stop/go will be in place at its junction with Bellevue Park to facilitate the construction of a new footpath.
This will be in operation between the hours of 8am and 4pm and will remain in effect until Friday, August 21.
On Togher Rd, a five-way stop/go will be in place for today from 7am-7pm at its junction with Lehenaghmore Industrial Estate to accommodate foul sewer upgrade works.
Meanwhile on Rochestown Rd, a stop-go will come into effect this evening.
It will operate from the hours of 7.30pm until 6am until Friday, August 21.
The two-way stop/go will be in place from the Passage West greenway car park to Hop Island and is necessary to facilitate permanent reinstatement works at this location.
On Infirmary Rd in Ballintemple, a six-way stop/go will be in place from 7pm to 7am until Friday to facilitate large scale watermain rehab works.
Also in the vicinity, the South Douglas Rd will have a three-way stop/go in place from 7pm this evening until 7am tomorrow at its junction with the Curragh Rd to facilitate tie in works to the newly installed watermain in the area.
Elsewhere in the city, on the R639 in Knocknahorgan, Glanmire, a three-way stop/go is in place from 7am until 7pm daily until Friday to facilitate large scale watermain upgrade works.
Meanwhile, at Tara Lawn and Glasheen Rd a four-way stop/go is in place from 7am-7pm until Friday to facilitate watermain rehab works in the area.
