Roy and Roddy go to extra time with new live shows 

Former footballer Roy Keane and author Roddy Doyle will talk on stage for two nights at the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney, this autumn.

The Manchester United star and he Booker-prize-winning Irish author co-wrote The Second Half, a frank, brutally honest account of Keane’s days as a player, the highs and lows of his managerial career, and his life as a television pundit.

They followed this up with live shows in Dublin and three sell-out performances at last year’s Live at the Marquee festival in Cork, covering Keane’s career from his Mayfield roots to his infamous Saipan clash with Ireland manager Mick McCarthy before the 2002 World Cup.

Billed as evenings of ‘unforgettable stories, insights, and straight-talking conversation”, the shows will take place at the Killarney venue on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19.
