Cork's Graffiti among recipients of arts funding for early years programme

Cork’s Graffiti Theatre Company has been awarded €40,000 to expand the delivery of art experiences through its BEAG — Early Years Arts Programme.

The funding is provided under the 2026 arts in early learning and childcare scheme, which is being delivered by the Arts Council in partnership with Department of Children, Disability and Equality.

Now in its fourth year, individual awards of up to €40,000 have been made available to nine artists and arts organisations under the scheme, including the Graffiti Theatre Company in Blackpool.

The allocation will enable the Graffiti Theatre Company to provide opportunities to children aged under three years old, encouraging them to explore and enjoy the arts with the support of artists, early years educators, school-age practitioners, families, and carers.

A spokesperson for the Graffiti Theatre Company said it is “fantastic” to once again receive funding under the scheme, widening the delivery of such “special work”.
