Three winning photographs taken in Cork have been announced in the inaugural Our Ireland, Our EU photo competition.

The competition invited members of the public to capture photographs highlighting how European Union funding is making a difference in communities throughout the country.

The competition received 164 entries from across Ireland. Following eligibility checks, 82 photographs were published for public voting.

More than 2,600 voters cast their votes during the public voting period.

Third place in the Places and Spaces category went to Jessica Dale for In Am (On Time) — a photo of Kent station.

The People and Participation category saw Aoife Claffey and Alan Magee awarded second and third place, respectively, for their photos, Interwoven Networks and When robots draw the line, both taken at MTU’s Cork campus.
