Cork pipe band wins UK Pipe Band championships in Beflast

Congratulations to Carrigaline Pipe Band who added yet another string to its impressive bow, winning the recent UK Pipe Band championships in Belfast

In a post on their Facebook page the band said they were absolutely delighted to be placed first overall, and also return back home with the top prize in the drumming section.

“We are over the moon with this result and incredibly proud of every member of the band. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey so far — your encouragement means the world to us.

“We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our volunteers who helped us. We would truly be lost without you, and your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed.

“Congratulations to everyone involved — onwards and upwards!”

The pipe band continue practise every Thursday evening in the Band Hall.
