An armed robbery at the Lough Credit Union in Cork saw a man being remanded in custody at Cork District Court.
Stephen Murphy, aged 41, of 1 Deanrock Villas, Togher, Cork, appeared before the court charged with the single count of robbery.
The charge sheet refers to the offence of robbery taking place at the Lough Credit Union, Togher Rd, Cork, on Friday, May 15, 2026.
On the application of Sergeant Aisling Murphy, Judge John King remanded the accused man in custody until July 1.
The case was adjourned to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions. Stephen Murphy was represented in court by defence solicitor Eddie Burke.
It is alleged that what appeared to be a handgun was produced during the robbery.
