Cork Airport has announced a new year-long partnership with Uber to promote ease of transport for inbound passengers.
The new partnership will focus on raising awareness of Uber services for arriving passengers, providing them with flexibility for their onward journey from the airport.
Passengers will be given the option to prebook their journey via the Uber app, which, with its built-in flight tracking technology, will inform drivers of any delayed departures or changes to arrival times.
Head of finance and property at Cork Airport Peter Walsh said the initiative “marks an important step in enhancing the passenger experience at Cork Airport”.
“Uber’s dependable service and easy-to-use booking options gives travellers greater flexibility and convenience as soon as they arrive in Cork,” said Mr Walsh.
General manager at Uber Ireland, Kieran Harte, said the company was excited to partner with Cork Airport to make it even easier for passengers to get moving the moment they land.
“Cork has been one of our fastest-growing cities in Ireland, with more people than ever choosing Uber for its speed, reliability and convenience,” said Mr Harte.
