Space for hire at Cork's spectacular Camden Fort Meagher

Cork County Council is offering rooms at Camden Fort Meagher for event and workshop hire.

The local authority has said it is seeking expressions of interest from creative practitioners, educators, community groups, and enterprises to hire rooms or space at the fort for projects, events, and programmes.

SIGNIFICANCE

Collaborators should contribute to the fort’s mission of heritage preservation, cultural engagement and community enrichment, while respecting and enhancing its historical significance in Crosshaven.

The spectacular site, overlooking the entire Cork Harbour, includes underground magazines and artillery batteries. Eligible activities include art exhibitions, performance arts, educational workshops, historical interpretation projects, community initiatives, film and media production, and cultural events.

Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of public liability insurance, which indemnifies Cork County Council.
