Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May will perform at Live at the Marquee this summer.

After the sell-out success of her current tour, Raised on Songs & Stories, the singer has announced three additional shows this summer across Cork and Dublin, culminating in her biggest Irish show of the year, beside the Lee.

The performance will feature new stripped-back versions of her wide discography and favourite songs, integrated with her famed poetry and storytelling.

The 51-year-old has performed on stages all around the world, and has sung alongside industry legends like Jeff Beck, Lou Reed, Bono, Noel Gallagher, Jeff Goldblum and Ronnie Wood.

This year, she also acted as a special guest for Sting on his outdoor UK shows, The Corrs on two homecoming shows in Dublin and Cork, and is currently on tour with Jools Holland. She has also recently received rave reviews for her six-part RTÉ 1 TV series, Imelda May: Amhráin na nGael, which is available to watch on the RTÉ Player.

In the series, the singer embarked on an exploratory and emotional journey across Ireland’s Gaeltacht regions as she challenged her relationship with the Irish language through songs and sean-nós singing.

The Live at the Marquee performance will take place on June 12, with tickets on sale from March 12 at 10am via www.ticketmaster.ie.
