Cork musician Joe Philpott – founder of Rubyhorse and The White Horse Guitar Club – returns with a single that serves as a musical companion to his memoir.
Hot on the heels of his memoir, All Roads Lead To Where You Are, which launched last year, Cork musician Joe Philpott — founder of Rubyhorse and The White Horse Guitar Club — returns with a single of the same name that serves as a musical companion.
The song has the emotional weather of the book; tracing long miles, memories, and quiet reckonings gathered across a life lived on the road.
It’s about hard-won perspective and discovering who you are, offering a fresh way in to the author’s story through song.
Written as a reflection on Mr Philpott’s years spent travelling across America, the song captures the slow understanding that every wrong turn and broken string still belongs to the journey.
“As with the book, the song isn’t about arriving anywhere,” Mr Philpott said.
“It’s about what happens along the way: The miles, the silences, the wrong turns, and the people you become because of them.”
The single is released independently and will be available from March 6 on all streaming platforms.
