Cork Cocktail Week to showcase flair of city centre venues

All participating venues will offer cocktails from €7, with some offering further discounts on food bills, two-for-one drinks and more.

More than 30 city bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs will showcase their unique flair at inaugural Cork Cocktail Week.

Organsiers of the event, which will run for 10 days from Friday, February 20, said they aim to “transform a dark and gloomy month into a vibrant playground for cocktail enthusiasts.”

They are also hoping the event will encoureg increased footfall across the city centre, while offering attendees the chance to discover new Leeside venues, and showcasing cork’s vibrant night time scene.

Venues involved in the initiative include Cask, Paladar, 115 Cafe, Monk, The Black Dog, The Fountain, Seventy Seven, The River Club, The Raven Bar and Upstairs.

All venues will offer cocktails from €7, with some offering further discounts on food bills, two-for-one drinks and more.

A specific signature cocktail, unique to each venue, will also be available for Cork Cocktail Week wristband wearers.

President of the Cork Business Association, Dave O’Brien said the event will “perfectly reflect the vibrant and ever-evolving cocktail scene in our city”.

“The level of talent, creativity and passion among the teams behind the bar is exceptional. This event is a brilliant opportunity to showcase that,” said Mr O’Brien.

“With 31 outstanding bars participating across the city centre, there is a fantastic mix of venues for people to explore and enjoy.

“Cork Business Association is delighted to be associated with an initiative that supports our hospitality sector, and I would encourage everyone to pick up a wristband, get out into the city and show their support for this incredible industry.”

Early bird wristbands are now on sale priced from €9.95, with advance tickets priced from €12.95.

The final release of wristbands will be priced at €14.95, with a discount price of €6.95 per head for groups of four or more.
