‘Lord of the Rings’ candlight concert series to come to Cork

A series of candlelight concerts at the Aula Maxima in UCC will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Lord of the Rings film franchise.

Cork fans of The Lord of the Rings can look forward to a new series of candlelight concerts this spring, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film franchise.

Performed by talented local string quartets, the show will bring to life the most memorable musical moments from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Warner Bros’ Discovery Global Experiences and entertainment company Fever announced the series recently, with Cork among the select cities worldwide chosen for performances.

Isabel Solano, global vice-president of original experiences at Fever, said the act will pay tribute to the “epic music and timeless storytelling that continue to inspire generations”.

Five events will take place in the Aula Maxima at University College Cork across three days, with tickets — priced from €21 — now available for purchase via the Fever app and website.

Performances will take place on March 8 from 9pm, April 4 from 7pm and 9pm, and April 19 from 5pm and 9pm.
