A four-month jail term was imposed on a 31-year-old man who stole six cans of Four Loco alcohol from the Maxol service station in West Village in Ballincollig.

Craig O’Sullivan of 24 Curraheen Drive, Bishopstown, Cork, pleaded guilty to carrying out the theft.

Sgt Gearóid Davis said the alcohol, valued at €27, was stolen on March 21, 2025.

Frank Buttimer solicitor said the accused was serving prison sentences for other offences committed around this time.

Judge Mary Dorgan said the four-month sentence would be concurrent with the sentence being served.
