On Saturday at Croke Park, Kilbrittain basked in the glow of the greatest day in their history as they secured All Ireland Club Junior Hurling Championship glory.

Following a thrilling 0-19 to 0-18 victory over Easkey from Sligo in the decider, there were plenty of Kilbrittain tears of joy at GAA Headquarters.

The significance of the win was best summed up by the images of Kilbrittain captain Philip Wall running to celebrate on the pitch with his brother Jamie Wall, who was on TV punditry duty for TG4.

The Kilbrittain captain also dedicated the victory to their late teammate Oisín Gillain, who sadly passed away in March last year at just 18 years of age.

“Oísin’s memory stays alive in this team and this club always. We miss you Oisín and we know that you’re celebrating with us,” said Wall.
