Cork FET lauds ‘dedication and effort’ of latest graduates

Cork College of FET Bishopstown Campus recently celebrated the achievements of students at a graduation ceremony.

Graduates represented a diverse range of students, including those pursuing career changes, enhancing their current roles or returning to education through specific skills training and skills to advance initiatives.

Courses were delivered through both day and evening formats, offering flexible learning opportunities to suit a variety of needs. Graduates were recognised across a broad spectrum of disciplines including business, hospitality, sustainability, and national tour guiding.

Valerie Cowman, campus leader at Cork College of FET Bishopstown Campus, praised the graduates for their achievements.

“I want to recognise the dedication and effort you’ve invested in completing this programme.

“It takes real courage to commit to learning, especially while managing full time work and balancing the demands of home and study. Congratulations to each of you on this outstanding achievement.”

Also speaking at the event, Denis Leamy, chief executive, Cork ETB, thanked all those attending for their commitment to lifelong learning and upskilling.

“Congratulations to each of you for committing to this course of study,” said Mr Leamy.

“I encourage you to keep moving forward on your lifelong learning journey.

“At Cork ETB and Cork College of FET, we take pride in offering flexible opportunities for upskilling while working and creating pathways for every learner.
