A fundraiser for Féile O’Sullivan from West Cork has been officially named the number one GoFundMe campaign in Ireland in 2025.

Just before her 13th birthday, Féile suffered a devastating tractor accident that resulted in a double leg amputation and months of critical care.

Supported by her family, local GAA clubs, and her wider community in West Cork, over €720,000 has been raised to fund life-saving medical treatment, prosthetics, and rehabilitation.

The announcement comes as part of GoFundMe’s 2025 Year in Help report, which shows that over €50m was raised across Ireland this year.

Ireland has once again been named the most generous country in the World, topping GoFundMe’s global charts for the seventh year in a row.

Féile has undergone more than 60 operations since the accident, and she continues to inspire her community with her displays of courage and determination.

Her family says the generosity shown has been “transformational”, and will ensure she receives the specialist care she needs for the years ahead.
