This weekend, Cinderella opens at Cork’s Everyman Theatre, with audiences promised “a night of pure enchantment”.

The production, directed by Catherine Mahon Buckley and presented in association with CADA Performing Arts, has been described by organisers as “not your grandmother’s fairytale”.

Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Leah Barniville will lead as Cinderella, and will be joined by Zach O’Brien, who will play Prince Charming; and Lily Carey Murphy and Roisin Lane as the Ugly Stepsisters, Zowie and Chloe.

A theatre spokesperson said whether you’re bringing the family or a group of friends, “Cinderella at The Everyman guarantees a night of pure enchantment. With dazzling dance numbers, laugh-out-loud moments, and unforgettable characters, this is one ball you definitely don’t want to miss,” they said.

Performances will take place from November 29 to January 11, with a range of inclusive shows and group ticket packages available.
