A brand new family-friendly Christmas adventure experience has been announced at Cobh Heritage Centre.

Inspired by The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, representatives at the centre, in collaboration with the Cork Puppetry Company, have announced the introduction of the Cobh Santa Express.

This immersive imaginary journey will see passengers given a special train ticket and greeted by a Victorian train driver on arrival, before travelling through various locations including the Enchanted Forest of Sounds and Magical Pine Trees, before culminating with a visit to Santa in his grotto.

The Cobh Santa Express will run from December 3 to 22. Pre-booking is recommended via CobhHeritage.com
