Gardaí issue witness appeal as herd of cattle stolen from Cork farm overnight

A total of 12 Friesian heifers and 6 Friesian bulls have been reported as stolen

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed an incident whereby a number of cattle were stolen from a West Cork farm to come forward.

The incident where 18 cattle were stolen from a farm in Skibbereen occurred overnight between Sunday November 23 and Monday November 24.

A total of 12 Friesian heifers and 6 Friesian bulls, who are described as being approximately one year old, have been reported as stolen from a farmyard in the Lakelands area, Skibbereen.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information to contact them. 

Any persons, including road users who were travelling between the R637 road and the R593 road in the Lakelands, Skibbereen area overnight and who may have camera footage are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
