The Improv Panto returns to Cork Opera House throughout the month of December

The Improv Panto will return to Cork Opera House this December, with a new improvised show promised on each night of production.

The annual celebration has been described by organisers as “not your traditional panto”, as the entirely unscripted performance will see audience members get to dictate the storyline and character allocations.

The show aims to create a comedic atmosphere with unexpected twists and turns.

Whether you’re a seasoned panto lover or a first-time attendee, the Improv Panto promises to deliver a night of unforgettable, entertainment and a chance to experience the magic and mayhem that only the Improv Panto can provide.

The production has become an annual tradition at Cork Opera House and a beloved date on the festive calendar for many across the city and county.

Talented Participants

This year’s cast features a range of talented improvisers, actors, and comedians including Dominic MacHale (Garda Healy in The Young Offenders); comedian Laura O’Mahony; drama coach Declan Wolfe; Laura Harte of Cork’s 96FM; and writer John McCarthy.

The cast will be further joined by composer and songwriter Dylan Howe on keys.

The production is advertised as being strictly for attendees aged over 18, with audiences advised that special effects will be included in the production, which may not be suitable for all guests, including strobe lighting, flashing lights, smoke, and haze.
