Irish National Lottery: Cork Lotto players are being urged to check their tickets.

A Cork lotto player has become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning a total of €1m in the National Lotto Plus 1 draw that took place on Saturday night.

Lotto players are being urged to check their tickets as two winners, one in Cork and another in Dublin, won the top prize of €1m each in the weekend draw.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning store locations, including in Cork, will be revealed on Tuesday.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “It has been a big weekend for Lotto players nationwide with two players becoming overnight millionaires following Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

“Two players in Cork and Dublin won the top prize of €1m each in the weekend draw with both now becoming the two newest National Lottery millionaires.

“Today we are appealing to Lotto players in both counties to check their tickets very carefully as two people now have tickets worth a life-changing €1m each.”

 The winning numbers in Saturday’s (November 1) Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 05, 15, 16, 18, 25, 31 and the bonus was 22.

SIGN THE BACK

The spokesperson from the National Lottery also advised that the winners sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe.

The winners are also advised to make contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their top prize amounts in Lottery HQ.

Meanwhile, it also was a big week for one Cork woman who is now €200,000 richer following a lucky scratch card purchase.

The Cork woman bought the €10 All Cash Spectacular Scratch Card while she was doing a quick grocery shop in the Tesco store located in Mahon Point Shopping Centre.

Sharing the moment she discovered the win, she told the National Lottery team: "I completely forgot I had the scratch card until later that evening. I was upstairs when I scratched it and got the shock of my life. “
