Parts of Cork city’s northside may suffer overnight water supply disruptions across four days this week, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said essential mains repair works in Ballyvolane are scheduled to begin today, October 20, running until Thursday, October 23, starting each day at 10am and running until 2pm.

Uisce Éireann warned that there is likely to be some disruption to local water supplies as a result of the works.

According to the company, the works, which are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, may cause supply disruptions on Monday to Kinvara Close and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, the works will affect Ballincollie, Ballyvolane and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, they will affect Kinvara Park and surrounding areas.

On Thursday, the works will affect Kilmorna Heights and surrounding areas.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.
