A dramatic retelling of Dame Vera Lynn’s life is set to take centre stage at The Everyman in Cork next month.

The production, entitled We’ll Meet Again: The Vera Lynn Story, is touring key theatres around Ireland and will make a stop at the Everyman Theatre on October 5 and 6.

The show, recounting the life of Dame Vera Lynn, will be brought to life by the venue’s Sunday Songbook team, with both shows kicking off from 3pm.

Linda Kenny, who is a producer and performer, said the team is “delighted to be able to bring our Vera Lynn celebration back to the Everyman where it was first performed in October 2017”.

“The show holds a huge emotional significance for the cast as it was the first show we did without our long-term MC, the late Michael Twomey,” said Ms Kenny.

“It was also the first show we ever did with our beloved Alf McCarthy, who passed away in April 2024.

“The fact that we will be performing it in the hallowed surrounds of the historic Everyman, enveloped in the happy memories of performing there with Alf and Michael, elevates this show for our entire Songbook family.”

Tickets are priced from €28 and are available online via: www.everymancork.com.
