Cork connections in ‘The Traitors Ireland’

Christine, 38, Beauty Therapist, Cork is one of the contestants on The Traitors Ireland.

The Traitors Ireland has commenced with two Cork contestants and a Cork-based participant, and a Cork woman at the helm as presenter.

Ovens native Siobhan McSweeney, perhaps best known for her acting role in Derry Girls, is tasked with presenting duties.

The Cork-based contestants on the show include Andrew, who is a 33-year-old civil servant, a Limerick native but living in Cork, and Christine, a 38-year-old beauty therapist, and finally, John, a 53-year-old firefighter.

In total, 24 contestants started the game but there were just 22 taking part in the show as two were sent home within minutes of the game beginning on Sunday night.

Each of the remaining contestants brings their own personality, background, and game plan. But the key question is who will survive the twists, turns and betrayals that lie ahead?

The last one standing who is not murdered or banished will win €50,000.

The Traitors Ireland continues every Sunday at 9.30pm and on Monday and Tuesday at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
